Hello!
That, in the background, is one of my favourite peaks in the Himalayas, the Nanda Devi. I say favourite, because of its history and the mystery attached to it, but that is a story for another time.
I (that, in the foreground) am a postgraduate in Visual Communication Design and have a background in Fine Arts. Apart from art, design, and advertising, I enjoy outdoor activities and sports a lot. In all likelihood, I am what you might call a Jack of all trades, but I do believe it is a blessing. As Michael Bierut said in one of his essays, Design is about a whole lot more than Design, and the more we know about everything else, the better our design practice will be. I revere the romance behind the statement, and consciously inculcate my learning outside of the traditional workspace, in my practice as a designer.
All my life, I have been my happiest, and therefore most productive, when I am challenged, akin to what I feel while on a trek. I enjoy variety and having my fingers in a lot of pies. Research and academia have been recent additions to my interest docket, but being recent, they are at quite an embryonic stage in terms of being skill sets. What they do indicate, however, is a dedication that I have now developed towards following through with the backstage process to the theatricality of design.
I hope to be able to deliver a great deal as a designer and learn a great deal more as an employee. Please feel free to reach out!
